Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit royal-devs.com, book a call or email us, why, and what rights you have.
1. Who is responsible
RoyalDevs, Saad Khaliq Khan (sole proprietor), Islamabad, Pakistan
Email: contact@royal-devs.com
RoyalDevs is based in Pakistan. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to our processing, we follow it.
2. Visiting the website
Hosting. The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., USA. When you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical data to Vercel's servers: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system, and the referring page. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure. Vercel processes this data on our behalf and stores server logs only for a short period.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, working website).
Language selection. To show you the right language on your first visit, the hosting platform reads the country associated with your IP address. We use it only to choose between English and German at that moment; it is not stored or used for anything else.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Language cookie. If you switch the language yourself, we store your choice ("en" or "de") in a cookie named rd_lang for one year, and the same value in your browser's local storage. Nothing else is stored in it, and it is set only when you switch.
Legal basis: this storage is strictly necessary to provide the function you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Fonts. Fonts are served from our own website. No connection is made to Google or any other font provider.
No tracking. Apart from the statistics in section 4, we do not use analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels or social media plugins. Links to LinkedIn are plain links; nothing is sent to LinkedIn unless you click them.
3. Pricing calculator
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us unless you choose to book a call with your estimate or send it by email. "Copy summary" only places the text on your own clipboard.
4. Website statistics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are visited, from which websites visitors arrive, and roughly which countries and device types they use. We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load for real visitors. Both are provided by Vercel Inc., USA, which also hosts this website. They set no cookies. Visitors are counted with an anonymous identifier derived from the request, which Vercel discards after 24 hours, so no profiles of individual visitors are built across days. We only see aggregated figures.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used and keeping it fast).
5. Booking a call
The scheduler is provided by Cal.com, Inc., USA. It is loaded only when you click "Book a call"; before that, no data is sent to Cal.com.
When you book, Cal.com processes the data you enter (name, email address, any notes, including an estimate you attached) together with your time zone, IP address and technical browser data. The booking is added to our Google Calendar and the call takes place on Google Meet (Google LLC, USA), so Google receives the booking details and, during the call, the data needed to run it.
We use this data to prepare for and hold the call and to follow up on your project.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request before entering into a contract).

6. Contacting us by email
If you email us, for example with "Email the brief", we process your email address, name and the content of your message to reply and to handle your request. "Email the brief" only opens your own email program with a prepared text; nothing is sent until you send it yourself. Our email is hosted by an email service provider that processes messages on our behalf.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for project enquiries, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering messages).
7. Transfers outside the EU
We work from Pakistan, and our service providers Vercel, Cal.com and Google are based in the USA. Data you send us therefore leaves the EU.
- USA: Vercel, Cal.com and Google transfer data on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where they are certified, and otherwise on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Pakistan: there is no EU adequacy decision for Pakistan. When you book a call or email us, we process your data in Pakistan because this is necessary to respond to your request and take the pre-contractual steps you asked for (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR).
8. How long we keep data
- Server logs: deleted by Vercel after a short period.
- Language cookie: one year, or until you delete it.
- Website statistics: aggregated figures only, kept by Vercel for its reporting period.
- Booking data and emails: as long as needed for your enquiry. If no project follows, we delete them within 12 months of our last contact. If a project follows, business records are kept for as long as tax and commercial law requires.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR);
- have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16);
- have your data deleted (Art. 17);
- restrict processing (Art. 18);
- receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20);
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21);
- withdraw any consent you gave, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).
To use any of these rights, email contact@royal-devs.com.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work.
10. Do you have to provide data?
No. You can use the website without giving us any personal data. To book a call, the scheduler needs your name and email address; without them, a booking is not possible.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
11. Changes
We update this policy when the website or our services change. The current version is always on this page.
